Healing Rooms England & Wales sends out prayer cloths free of charge to anyone in the UK who requests one. Members of the Healing Rooms team will pray over the handkerchief and anoint it with oil. A request for one can be made through the form (Ctrl and click) on the website, or by emailing contact@healingrooms.org.uk (Ctrl and click).
The power to heal was given by Jesus to his followers. For situations where we cannot visit the person in need of healing, we know that the power to heal can be carried in the material.
What is the authority in the Bible for this?
“God gave Paul the power to do unusual miracles, so that even when handkerchiefs or cloths that had touched his skin were placed on people who were sick, they were healed of their diseases” (Acts 19:11-12)
“A woman who had a haemorrhage for twelve years came up behind him (Jesus). She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought ‘If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed’” (Matthew 9:20-21)
“The sick begged him to let them touch even the fringe of his robe, and all who touched it were healed” (Matthew 14:36)

Requests for prayer cloths are generally received into Healing Rooms England & Wales (HREW) by email generated via a request form on the HREW website. Every endeavour is made to meet a request between 24 and 48 hours after receiving it.
A member of the HREW team will pray over the email which describes the person’s need and will ask Holy Spirit for a revelation into the individual’s situation. The team member will anoint the cloth with fragranced oil, pray over the cloth and ask Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit to bring healing into the life of the recipient.
For posting, the cloth is placed into a clear plastic bag which helps to preserve the beautiful scent of the oil. The envelope also contains information on how to use the cloth and a card with information about the HREW National Prayer Line. Lastly, prayer is offered up for ministering angels to guard the package during its travels.
For the team attending to these requests it is both a wonderful blessing and privilege to be able to pray for each request and to know that God will make a difference.
Have we seen it work?
We praise God when we receive testimonies of individual healings experienced by using the prayer cloth. On a number of occasions this service is known to have been effective. Here is an example:
“I took my son who is twelve to the GP with back pain. The GP looked at his back and diagnosed scoliosis or curvature of the spine. She said it was quite severe and she referred him to a physiotherapist. We were all quite worried and on the following Saturday when his sister went to the Healing Rooms, she asked for prayer for him. The teenagers and leaders prayed for him and sent a prayer cloth home. He took the prayer cloth to bed and over the next couple of days the pain really eased. We did not think any more about it until Monday this week after reading something on the internet. I looked at his back again. I discovered the upper curve is gone totally and the lower big curve in the spine is appprox 95% gone. (Why didn’t I look earlier? I have so little faith!). If there had ever been anything wrong with this spine you would never notice a problem. We praise the Lord for his healing.”
So, as with this this young lad, we want to see the same blessing brought to you and to other people.
What does the recipient do?
The prayer cloth should be placed on the area of sickness. If preferred, it can simply be placed under the pillow. If anything worsens in any way after receiving the cloth, do not be afraid. It may be a sign that further face to face ministry could be helpful.
Can I request a prayer cloth for someone else?
Yes, provided that person is aware of it and willing to receive the cloth. You will need to confirm that this is the case when requesting a cloth for someone else. We do not send prayer cloths beyond the UK.
