Healing Rooms Norfolk welcomes new team members
When it comes to joining a healing ministry, some may feel it’s just not their bag. But Jesus’ instructions to His disciples were to ‘heal those who are ill, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give’ (Matthew 10:8).
So, I have three questions for you:
- Have you received salvation through Jesus’ death and resurrection?
- Are you filled with Holy Spirit?
- Are you sensing God leading you to find out more about healing in Jesus’ name?
Because, if your answers are yes, yes and yes, on Saturday 19th September 2026, at New Hope Christian Centre Lakenham in Norwich, NR1 2HX, Healing Rooms is running daytime basic training for anyone who would like to say “yes” to learning about healing the sick of mind, body or spirit. It’s free, though there will be opportunity for love gifts, by way of thanking our speakers and hosts. Doors will open at 10am with coffee and tea available for an informal time before starting the day with worship at 10.15am. The training itself will start promptly at 10.30am til 4.30pm. Drinks and biscuits will be freely provided, but please bring your own lunch.
Healing Rooms ministry is beautifully gentle, compassionate and free of charge to all. The first thing a team will do, before ministering to a guest, is to listen to God. This means that a session will always be individually tailored to the needs of each guest. Teams are made up of Christians from various churches, denominational and non-denominational, and members are supported and cherished by Healing Rooms, not just locally but regionally, nationally and internationally.
Healing Rooms Regional Directors, John and Sarah Lander, will lead the training day and you will not only be shown the basic Healing Rooms model but you will be given the opportunity to practise in small groups. The training looks at where disease came from in the first place, what God’s solution is and the role of God’s gift of faith to those ministering healing, all with lots of scriptural backing. You will hear testimonies of healings and learn about the roles of intercession, thanksgiving, hunger and expectation. There will be teaching on how to improve the way you listen to God and so only do what He is showing you. Other topics covered will be: team working, the culture of honour, developing the fruits of the Spirit, confidentiality and practical things if you want to set up your own Healing Rooms.
At the end of the day, you will be offered an impartation to commission you into the ministry, but only if you feel led to become a member of Healing Rooms. Absolutely no pressure!

Healing Rooms is an international charitable organization, which began when US-based Cal Pierce responded to God’s direction in 1999 to re-dig the wells of healing. There are currently three Healing Rooms in Norfolk: Norwich, North Norfolk (covering Bacton, Cromer and Hoveton) and Yarmouth and all three run sessions in person, on Zoom or via WhatsApp/phone. Healing Rooms England & Wales (HREW) runs separate marketplace training for Healing Rooms that meet in church/cathedral cafes, pubs, at public events and in some Costa coffee cafes with the permission of their local managers. In addition HREW is connected to United Christian Broadcasters and provides separate training for healing ministers to operate the National Prayer Line. HREW is also connected to Jean Luc Trachsel’s International Association of Healing Ministries, which offers multiple monthly Zoom appointments with team members from Healing Rooms. Every year HREW holds a conference for their members, full of great worship, teaching and networking.
